On the 2nd to last show of the second part of their USA Tour, Tigers Jaw played an unforgettable and cathartic show at the Argo in Whitefish Bay, WI. It was a magical night of music, moshing, talent, and nostalgia that left fans feeling satisfied. With a stunning three band line up, fans showed up and were ready to bring the party.

Bleary Eyed from Philadelphia took the stage first and captivated the audience with their classic grunge-rock sound. Their melodies and vocal quality blend beautifully with the sound of Tigers Jaw, making them a cohesive and entertaining opener. They played several songs off their 2025 album Easy, and it was a pleasure watching them vibe to their music as they performed. I could see their passion for their music through their stage presence, and that’s a special thing to see in artists.

Pool Kids took the stage next, and I was immediately struck by the high-energy nature of their performance and how responsive the crowd was to it. Frontwoman Christine Goodwyne had the crowd on the edge of their seats, wondering what she was going to do next. She dove off the stage, crowdsurfed, and went into the crowd to mosh with fans. Pool Kids released their album Easier Said Than Done in 2025 and plugged their merch, saying that buying items from their table is the best way to support them as a band. They continued the set with highly danceable math rock songs with a resounding β€œFuck Trump and Fuck ICE!” from guitarist Andy Anaya. With an electric set, fans were sufficiently warmed up for Tigers Jaw to take the stage.

Tigers Jaw took the stage and began their set with the first two songs off their 2026 album Lost On You, β€œIt’s Okay” and β€œPrimary Colors”. I didn’t think it was possible, but the band sounded better live than they do in their recordings, and they have recorded some of my favorite songs of all time. Tigers Jaw played newer hits like β€œGhost” and β€œBREEZER”, and fan favorites from earlier albums like β€œNervous Kids”, β€œHum”, β€œNever Saw It Coming” (with the help of Travis from Bleary Eyed), and β€œPlane vs Tank vs Submarine”. Many other fans and I have been following the band since their earlier days, and finally getting to see them live and hearing songs that were the soundtrack of many of our high school/college experiences was surreal. The small venue was packed despite the largest music festival in the world happening 20 minutes away, and fans left feeling content, and if they’re anything like me, flooded with nostalgia. Tigers Jaw's North American Tour wrapped up in Chicago on 6/21, but the band will be embarking on an international tour in the fall. Tigers Jaw is a force to be reckoned with in the emo/alternative community, and is sure to wow with whatever they do next.
